Dinner on the Titanic!

Today we enjoyed a fancy five-course meal planned from the actual first, second, and third class menus of the last dinner they had on board the famous fated liner. Decor included glass bowls filled with silk roses, silver doily placemats, and champagne ‘glasses’. Guests were able to take home diamond crystals, blue ribbon and gem-studded napkin rings, and their flower accented black and white place cards. Before the first course (shrimp butter canapes – YUM) we made a toast to all those who died during the Titanic tragedy.
Easter Goodies

The Easter Bunny had a little help this week making up treats and treasures that will be handed out on Easter morning. We placed Easter themed pencils, window clings, candies, and eggs in each bag… Thank you my fellow bunnies!
Easter Eggs for our Pen Pals!

Residents made adorable Easter eggs with foam letter spelling out the names of their pen pals. They added sparkly foam shapes and stickers to make them unique and special – just like our kindergarten friends! We love you and wish you a Happy Spring!
A Special Gift from our Wonderful Penpals!

We are so lucky to have such great young friends to brighten our days! Recently we received a special gift from them… Spring lanterns to light our path to dinner! The lanterns are hung in the hallway next to our dining room and have received lots of praise from residents, staff, and family members. Easter dinner was much more festive with these awesome decorations! Thank you so much, penpals!

What fun we had with lots of tissue paper! These crafts were easy and fun to make, and they really livened up our doors and walls with Ireland’s color. Great job everyone! Thank you especially to our intern Jen who has made our days shine a little brighter… we will miss you!
