Enhanced Care
When Morgan Estates welcomes someone into our community, we understand that eventually, the time will come when care needs may grow. Individuals may be faced with increased medical conditions and/or greater assistance daily activities which have become far too difficult. Our new Enhanced License, recognized by the New York State Department of Health now allows us to embrace some of those challenges without leaving our community. We are excited to offer our residents the option to age-in-place, and obtain some basic services typically provided in a nursing home setting. This license provides a wonderful opportunity for both our residents and their families to know that we will be here to support you through these changes and offer you an alternative to costly nursing home care.
Enhanced Care services offered:
- Assistance with ambulation and transferring (requiring one or two staff members)
- Assistance with feeding
- Dressing changes/wound care
- Performing simple measurements and tests
- Medical monitoring
- Injections
- Catheter care
- Colostomy care
- Skilled nursing observations which need to be reported to a physician (less than 24 hrs per day)
*Rates will be determined based on each individual
